Ganga Prasad appointed Meghalaya governor

Finally Meghalaya is preparing to get a new governor. President of India, in a notification has appointed Ganga Prasad as governor of the north eastern state.

The Raj Bhawan in Shilling is getting a fresh look to receive the new governor who is expected to arrive in the state in a day or two. Meghalaya High Court chief justice will administer him the oath of office and secrecy at the Raj Bhawan.

On the other hand, Bandari Lal Purhit is leaving Assam as governor paving the way for Jagdish Mukhi in his place. Purhit, who was appointed as Assam governor one and a half years back will take over as Tamil Nadu governor.

Mukhi, the lieutanent governor in Andaman will taking oath aa new Assam governor in a day or two.
